The Florida Workers’ Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association (“FWCIGA”) has an important announcement concerning the status of the 2019 Premium Data Call. In prior years, a data call was conducted annually to determine the premium base for possible future assessments. The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation issued a 1.0% assessment levy on all new and renewal policies with effective dates beginning January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. Given that FWCIGA is already collecting 2020 premium information, we decided not to conduct a premium data call for the 2019 calendar year.
